You don't have to be a programmer, and you don't have to be a computer science major.
No, it is absolutely FREE to participate in Hackin' Summer. All you need is an innovative mind and enthusiasm.
JIIT students with an innovative mind and a great problem solving attitude is eligible to participate in Hackin' Summer.
Registrations will be done via Devfolio for problem statement 2 and for problem statement 1 you need to register at Devfolio as well as on the registration desk offline.

That's alright. Most hackathon participants are beginners and hackathons prove to be a perfect opportunity to learn and build something great.
Hackin' Summer has a total prize pool of ₹40000.
But why? Hackathons are meant opportunity for participants to learn and brush up their skills. They can act as self-assessment where you can test your knowledge. Therefore, we will only be accepting project build in the hackathon duration.
Yes, the prime motive of a hackathon is to help participants gain practical exposure and knowledge. Also, we all have to start somewhere and the longer you delay, the more diffident you will become about participating in a hackathon.
Project submissions will be done on Devfolio. More details will be provided to you once the hackathon starts.
No prerequisites as such. Any experience of coding, knowledge of tech stack, strong presentation and brilliant ideas would be a plus but in case you are a beginner, the zeal to learn is a must.
